Ask your medical question. Get the answer. Check the sources.

You have a medical question. MedCite answers it from clinical guidelines, national health sources and peer-reviewed literature — and shows the sources supporting the answer.

MedCite does not replace clinical judgement. It helps clinicians find and assess the relevant evidence faster.

How MedCite works

1

Ask a medical question

Ask the clinical question you have formulated. Include the patient context that materially changes the evidence you need.

2

MedCite searches the evidence

MedCite searches trusted clinical guidelines, national healthcare sources and peer-reviewed medical literature, prioritising authoritative and locally relevant guidance where available.

3

Read and verify the answer

MedCite synthesises the relevant evidence into a readable answer with citations. Every citation links to its original source, so the evidence can be inspected directly.

One clinically useful answer

MedCite gives you one answer per question: the clinical conclusion first, then the reasoning and practical implications supported by the retrieved evidence. You can check every claim against its cited source and ask a follow-up question when you need more detail.

Built for healthcare professionals

MedCite is a medical search and reference tool for qualified healthcare professionals.

It does not diagnose patients, prescribe treatment or make clinical decisions. The treating healthcare professional remains responsible for interpreting the evidence and applying it to the individual patient.

General-purpose AI systems may provide convincing answers without consistently exposing the underlying evidence. MedCite is designed around medical evidence retrieval, source-linked answers and independent verification.

Why MedCite instead of a general AI chatbot?

General AI chatbots are designed to answer almost anything. MedCite is designed to help healthcare professionals find and inspect medical evidence.

General AI chatbotMedCite
Generates an answer from broad model knowledgeStarts by retrieving relevant medical sources
May provide links or citations inconsistentlyLinks clinical claims to the sources used

Broad consumer toolPurpose-built clinical reference tool

MedCite brings guidelines, authority sources and biomedical literature together in one cited answer, so clinicians can move from question to evidence without searching across multiple databases.

Built by clinicians, for clinicians

MedCite was created by healthcare professionals who experienced how much clinical knowledge is available—and how difficult it can be to find, compare and verify during a working day.

The team combines clinical practice, medical research and software development.
